1 egg, beaten
1 cup water
1 1/2 cups wheat mix-quick

Mix wet ingredients together.  Add mix and stir until blended.  Drop on hot, greased
griddle.  When top is bubbly and edges are brown, flip and cook other side.


2 cups wheat mix-quick
1 cup water

Mix together with fork until moistened.  Drop by spoonsful on top of simmering stew.
Cover tightly with lid and let simmer for 15 minutes - no peeking!


2 cups buttermilk mix-quick
1 Tbs oil
1 cup water

Stir the water and oil together; then quickly pour over the mix-quick.   Fluff with 
fork until mixed.   Turn dough onto a heavily floured surface.   Pat until about 1"
thick.  Cut with biscuit cutter.   Reform scraps and cut.   Form last bits of dough
with hands.  Bake at 375 degrees for 12-15 minutes.

Coffee Cake

1 1/4 cup wheat mix-quick
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 egg, beaten
1/2 cup water

Mix dry ingredients.  Stir water and egg together, add to dry and stir until blended.
Pour into greased 9" baking dish.   Top with a mixture of:  1/4 cup oatmeal, 1/4 cup 
brown sugar, 1/4 cup flour, 1/4 cup butter.  Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.

Strawberry Shortcake

2 cups wheat mix quick
1 egg, beaten
1/4 cup melted butter
10 Tbs. half and half
Beat all ingredients in a bowl for 1/2 minute.   Spread in a well-greased 8" pan for 
large shortcake,  or make individual shortcakes on  greased  baking sheet.  Split in 
half and fill.
