Wheat Mix-Quick 16 cups flour (white or whole wheat) 1 1/2 cups instant powdered milk 1/2 cup baking powder 2 Tbs. salt 1 1/2 cups butter* Mix all dry ingredients in a bowl. Cut in butter until mixture is fine and crumbly. Store in a tightly closed container in a cool, dry place, preferably the refrigerator. Use like the commercial brands. *You can use shortening if you want to, but I never use it. Shortening and margarine are partially hydrogenated - the worst kinds of fat you can eat. Buttermilk Mix-Quick 16 cups flour 2 cups buttermilk powder 1/4 cup baking powder 1/4 cup baking soda 1 Tbs. salt 1 1/2 cups butter (see *note above) Mix dry ingredients in a bowl. Cut in butter. Store in cool, dry place - refrigerator is best.
